OFK Alfa Trebinje

OFK Alfa Trebinje is a club that in a very short period of time managed to position itself as one of the most promising places for the development of young football players in Herzegovina. Founded in 2023 under the name of Alfa Football School, the club attracted the attention of children and parents from the very beginning. About 40 boys, full of dreams, energy and love for football, gathered at the first training session. That moment was the symbolic beginning of a story that soon turned into a serious project based on enthusiasm, dedication and a vision to give young generations the opportunity to grow and develop through sport.

Just two years later, in 2025, the club made an important step forward, changing its name to Youth Football Club Alfa and becoming a full member of the Football Association of the Republic of Srpska. This opened the way to official competitions, and young footballers got the opportunity to try out in the pre-pioneering and pioneering selection. Entering the competition system was a significant step because it enabled the club's work to be measured through results, but also to give the children the experience of real sports competition, discipline and team spirit.

A special moment in the club's history happened in May of the same year, when the management of Alfa received an invitation from the Youth School of FK Crvena Zvezda, one of the most famous and successful football academies in the Balkans. Based on that invitation, a five-year contract on comprehensive sports and professional cooperation was signed. This agreement was not just a formality but a confirmation that a club is being built in Trebinje that works with quality, planning and professionalism. The cooperation with Crvena zvezda opened additional doors for the development of young talents, enabled the exchange of experiences, professional training of coaches and the chance for the most talented football players from Alfa to show themselves at a higher level.

Young footballers have excellent working conditions, from quality pitches, to supporting infrastructure and facilities that enable sports to become part of a healthy and happy upbringing. City of the Sun is not only a place for training, but also a place where children develop friendships, learn about discipline and teamwork, and where an atmosphere of togetherness is created that is just as important as sports results.

OFK Alfa is also the initiator and organizer of the DINECO Cup tournament, which is held every year in the City of the Sun. This tournament gathers more than 1,200 young football players from different regions, creating a unique atmosphere of a sports holiday. DINECO Cup is not just a competition, it is an opportunity to socialize, share experiences and create unforgettable memories. The fact that it takes place in the Aqua Park environment gives the tournament a special charm, where children, in addition to football, enjoy fun and joy, which gives the whole event the dimension of a real festival of sports and youth.

Today, just a few years after its establishment, OFK Alfa Trebinje is recognized as one of the most promising youth clubs in Herzegovina. His mission is not only to create football players, but to raise good people, young athletes who, through discipline, work and togetherness, will carry values that will benefit them in life, regardless of whether they continue their professional football career or not. The club has become a synonym for energy, vision and commitment, and its successes and collaborations confirm that a serious sports story is being built in Trebinje.
