Andrija Mate is a footballer of athletic build, predominantly uses his right foot, and his primary position is left winger. His playing style is based on agility and speed; he is capable of changing direction, evading opponents, and using explosiveness to break down the flank. Additionally, as a left-back, he demonstrates focus and leadership, making him a versatile player who can also contribute defensively.
He began his career at NK Čulinec, where he played from 2017 to 2021, then developed through NK Devetka (2022-2025), and from 2025 he has been playing for NK Dugo Selo under the guidance of coach Marijan Roso. His technical skills include first touch, passing game, ball control, and build-up play, while his physical attributes, speed, agility, and focus, allow him to be a constant threat to the opposing defense.
In the current season, he played in the Second Croatian Football League and the Second Football League Center, where his performances showed that he is a player who is constantly improving and has the potential to develop into a reliable winger of the future.
