FK Sloboda is a club with a rich tradition that has left a deep mark on both the football of former Yugoslavia and the modern Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club was a long-standing stable member of the SFRY First Federal League, and its greatest league success during that period was achieving 3rd place in the 1976/77 season, which also earned them a place on the European stage in the UEFA Cup. In independent Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sloboda has been a multiple-time finalist of the BiH Cup and a team that has always played a significant role at the top of BiH football.
