Football Club Varaždin is a professional football club from the city of the same name in Croatia, which currently competes in the top tier of domestic football, the Croatian Football League. The club was founded on July 1, 2012, under the original name Varaždin Football School, after the historic club NK Varaždin (formerly Varteks) fell into severe financial difficulties and suspensions. Although legally considered two separate entities with distinct successes and histories, the current club is considered the spiritual and sporting successor to Varaždin's football tradition.

The club's rise was gradual, starting from the lowest cantonal leagues. Thanks to stable management and quality work in the youth academy, the club rapidly climbed through the ranks, finally playing in the first league for the first time in the 2019/20 season. Although they were relegated to the second league at one point, they quickly returned to the elite in 2022 and have since become a stable first-league team, often competing for the top half of the table.
Varaždin plays its home games at Stadion Varteks, which can accommodate over 8,000 spectators and is considered one of the most beautiful venues in that part of Croatia. The club's colors are traditionally blue and white, and the team is currently led by Nikola Šafarić from the bench. The club is known for giving opportunities to young players, as well as for its loyal local audience, which continues to support football in the baroque city despite the turbulent past of the previous club.
